Southwestern Christian University considers the role of the faculty most significant in maintaining quality educational services. Consequently, when additions are made to the faculty, persons will be selected who demonstrate the highest academic, moral and spiritual qualifications.
In order to assure a happy relationship between faculty and the institution, the University will seek to place under contract only those professional educators who support the Articles of Faith of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church, and subscribe to the Statement of Faith and the following Statement of Inspiration.
We hold Holy Scripture to be:
A. Inspired: By this we mean the Holy Scripture is inbreathed by the Holy Spirit, and that, though written in the words of humans in history, is nevertheless God’s witness to Himself.
B. Authoritative: By this we mean that Holy Scripture, as the Word of God, is to be believed in all it affirms and obeyed in all it requires.
C. Infallible: By this we mean that Holy Scripture as the standard for faith and practice is completely trustworthy.
D. Inerrant: By this we mean that Holy Scripture speaks the truth and is, therefore, free from error, falsehood, and deceit in all it affirms and teaches.
