Psych Club Raising Money for Texas Trip

An opportunity exists for those wanting a chance at winning a 32-inch LED TV courtesy of the Southwestern Christian University Psychology Club.

The organization is raising money to offset travel expenses to send six SCU students to the Association of Biblical Counselors Conference in Euless, Texas later this month. Club Advisor Dr. Rebecca Webster said the conference provides training to those students interested in learning to counsel from a biblical perspective.

Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. The winner will be drawn on Tuesday, March 10 and announced in Chapel. Contact any members of the SCU Psychology Club or e-mail Dr. Rebecca Webster at

The Psychology Club has raised money for the conference with numerous on-campus events including a Valentines Day Bake Sale.

Webster said those who are interested in funding a student’s cost to the event should contact her directly for the amount and payment options.

The Association of Biblical Counselors exists to encourage, equip and enrich all believers everywhere to live and counsel the Word, applying the Gospel to the whole experience of life. Its headquarters are located in Bedford Texas.
