The original members of the Southwestern Quartet have reunited to release an album of classic hymns entitled, “Old Men – Older Songs.” All proceeds from the album go directly to the Fine Arts Department at Southwestern Christian University.
The Southwestern Quartet, originally formed in 1964, is made up of vocalists David Oxley, Marvin Dixon, Larry White and Jerry McNabb. These four talented alumni have joined back together, accompanied by dynamic gospel pianist, Laban West, to sing nostalgic renditions of “Pass Me Not,” “Jesus Use Me,” “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot,” “What A Friend We Have In Jesus,” “I’m Redeemed,” “The Old Gospel Ship,” “The Life Boat,” “The Haven of Rest,” “Somebody Loves Me,” “Walking The Sea,” and “Until Then.”
This album will make a great addition to your collection of classic gospel music and will also make a wonderful Christmas gift for your friends and family. “Old Men – Older Songs” is available for purchase through the Office of Alumni Relations for $15 (plus $3 for shipping and handling).
