SCU Announces Search Committee for Men's Basketball Coach

BETHANY, Okla. — Southwestern Christian University President Dr. Reggies Wenyika announced the formation of a search committee to begin looking for a new head men's basketball coach Tuesday.

The committee is tasked with finding a leader who is committed to the University's mission and has a demonstrated holistic approach of student-athlete success.

Members of the Search Committee are SCU basketball alumnus and board member Jon Chasteen, associate vice president of athletics and operations Joe Blackwell, faculty athletic representative David Roman, business faculty member Cindi Cary, alumnus and former assistant coach Otis Garrison and alumnus and basketball official Bart Gernandt

The committee will receive, review and interview short-listed candidates and make their final recommendations to Dr. Wenyika and athletic director Mark Arthur.
