Southwestern Christian University has joined the Wesleyan Holiness Consortium (WHC). The consortium consists of a group of 66 universities and colleges and 19 church denominations.
SCU President Dr. Reggies Wenyika initiated the process to make SCU a member of the Consortium during his recent visit to Washington D.C. where the group’s Presidents Network Meeting was being held simultaneously with that of the Coalition for Christian Colleges and University (CCCU) Presidents Meeting.
Wenyika, who is now a member of the WHC’s Presidents Network, is excited at the prospects of participating and making a contribution to the WHC. “Participation in this Consortium will be very beneficial in the enrichment and strengthening of our tradition, and in enhancing our understanding of the centrality of the Wesleyan Quadrilateral of Scripture, Reason, Experience and Tradition to the university’s missional efforts of integrating faith, learning, and living,” Wenyika said.
Additional information on the Consortium can be found on their website at http://holinessandunity.org/
