The Southwestern Christian University Music Department took to the stage for the second time in the Fall 2010 semester on Friday afternoon (October 22nd), performing a General Recital in the Collins Chapel at the International Pentecostal Holiness Church Headquarters campus.
The General Recitals, which are performed on a monthly basis, consist of a variety of performances carried out by Southwestern Christian University students. Friday’s performance showcased ten SCU students either singing, playing the piano, or engaging in a combination of both vocals and the piano on the Collins Chapel stage.
SCU’s Chairman of the Creative Arts Program, David Roman, is especially happy with the way the program looks and sounds this year.
“I’m extremely pleased with the progress all of our students have shown throughout this semester,” said David. “The quality of our student performances never ceases to amaze me. These guys put in a lot of hard work throughout the semester and I’m really proud of them.”
In conjunction with Southwestern Christian University’s “Fall Preview”, the third and final General Recital of the semester is set to be held on Friday, November 12th at 2 p.m in the Collins Chapel.
