SCU Receives Largest Donation in School History
Southwestern Christian University has received as a donation the tallest building in Bethany, Okla., the Western Oaks Landmark Tower.
The building, located on NW 23rd St., is the largest donation in school history and is slated to become the future home of SCU’s adult studies and online programs.
The building was donated by the Daryl and Vickie Nicholson Trust and formerly owned by Daryl Nicholson since 2005. The building had been managed by SCU administrator Dr. Jim Poteet and has been appraised at over $1,000,000.
Western Oaks Landmark Tower is a six story, 42,000 square foot facility built in 1972. It features a large sixth-floor suite, ample parking, a full basement/storm shelter and currently houses 12 local businesses and non-profit organizations.
