SCU Selects New Volleyball Coach!

SCU Athletic Director Mark Arthur is pleased to announce that Larry Bittle has been chosen to lead the SCU ladies volleyball program. Coach Bittle grew up in Oklahoma and graduated from Oklahoma State University. While attending OSU, he met his wife Teresa. They have three children, Brandon, Nicolas, and Marni.

Coach Bittle coached volleyball at Corn Bible Academy from 1997-2009. During his tenure there his teams made the 4-A State Volleyball Tournament eight of the twelve years. In 1999, Coach Bittle was selected 4-A State Volleyball Coach of the Year and was also chosen to be the head coach for the west squad in the Oklahoma 4-A All-State game. While coaching at Corn Bible, Coach Bittle was honored to have coached twelve All-State players. Coach Bittle coaches with enthusiasm and competitiveness that encourages his players to play at an elevated level.

Coach Bittle has actively served in Christian education for over 30 years, and he is looking forward to this new assignment. “We are very excited to have Coach Biddle joining our athletic staff,” says Mark Arthur, SCU Athletic Director. “He brings a wealth of knowledge to our volleyball program and is a great addition to our current coaching staff.”
