SCU Students Return to Campus Southwestern Christian University welcomed students for the start of the spring semester with weekend orientation activities on January 4 and 5, 2013
“I am very excited about the beginning of the spring semester,” said Chad Pugh, Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management. “We have events scheduled that will assist our new students with their transition to our campus community and help our returning students get back into the swing of things.”
New students arrived on campus for move-in and orientation on Friday, January, 4, with the residence halls opening for returning students on Saturday, January 5. New students had the opportunity to connect with members of the SCU faculty, staff and experienced student leaders during informational sessions on Friday. Additionally, students who had not yet finalized their enrollment were able to do so at scheduled times throughout the weekend.
The Center for Student Success will provide academic placement testing as well as academic and student support. Any student interested in receiving free academic assistance may request a tutor.
Classes for the spring semester begin Monday, January 7, 2013. The last day to add a class is January 14 and the last day to drop a class is January 28.
