SCU to Challenge MACU Students in Blood Drive
Students at both Southwestern Christian University and Mid-America Christian have challenged each other to see which school can donate the most pints of blood during a visit by the Oklahoma Blood Institute.
SCU Students who wish to participate in the challenge can do so on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at the North Dorm Conference Room 2 between the hours of 1 and 5 p.m.
The school who donates the most units of blood will receive a newly designed “Blood Drive Champion” trophy by the OBI.
Healthy adults are encouraged to donate blood every 56 days. Every drop of blood needed by patients in some 150 Oklahoma medical facilities is provided by Oklahoma Blood Institute. Oklahoma Blood Institute is the ninth largest, non-profit blood center in America, employs nearly 700 Oklahomans and works with an estimated 1,000 volunteers and 2,600 drive coordinators.
