Members of the Southwestern Christian University Student Government Association presented the organization’s October Eagle-of-the-Month certification to student Jeanierose Brooks
Brooks, a junior from Oklahoma City’s Putnam City North High School, was chosen from nine other nominees of SCU staff, students and faculty members who best represent the university’s motto of Scholarship, Spirit and Service. The SGA makes the final selection of the nominees presented.
Brooks was praised for her exemplary leadership in the classroom and as a Kinesiology, Exercise, Physical Education (KEPE) club executive. She is pursuing a degree in sport management and is a member of the SCU Eagle women’s basketball team.
Brooks’ nomination indicated that she has made tremendous efforts to see that the KEPE Club fundraising efforts are successful, organized and communicated. In addition, she has taken to the management and training of the volunteers that work under her wing.
She was awarded a gift card, a certificate and a much-coveted reserved parking spot for the month of November by SGA President Kyle Mickleburgh during a brief ceremony at the university’s chapel.
