"Southwestern is experiencing significant growth due to several factors, including expanded degree program options and our affiliation with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics,” said President Ed Huckeby. “We are excited to begin construction on this new facility and anticipate this to be only the beginning for SCU growth in the future.”
SCU experienced a 66% increase in undergraduate enrollment in the 2010 Fall semester, stretching residence halls to maximum capacity.
The new building, expected to be ready for occupancy in Fall 2011, will include housing accommodations for 64 resident students and a first-floor conference center which can be divided into three separate rooms for classrooms or meeting space.
Southwestern Christian University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. For more information go to www.swcu.edu.
