Lieutenant Governor Todd Lamb
In an effort to expose students to Christian leaders in today’s marketplace, Southwestern Christian University recently began a new “Christian Leadership Series” in its Spring 2011 semester chapel services. Chapel presentations are being made by business and professional, governmental, and community leaders including Lieutenant Governor Todd Lamb, Speaker of the House of Representatives Kris Steele, Attorney General Scott Pruitt, former Oklahoma County District Attorney Wes Lane, outdoorsman and television personality Roger Raglin, and businessman and entrepreneur Henry Penix.
“The purpose of these chapels is to expose our students to business, community, and governmental leaders who demonstrate Christian principles and ethics in their daily lives,” said Southwestern Christian University President Ed Huckeby. “The messages our students are hearing from these speakers is very important to the students’ Christian character development.” Based on the resounding success of this semester’s series, it is anticipated that the concept will be continued into the next academic year.
