Students Participate in Youth Quest 2014

Southwestern Christian University joined its sister institutions in taking part in an award-based talent competition that seeks to mobilize a generation of youth in discovering, developing and deploying their gifts in ministry and fine arts. Youth Quest, a teen focused, weekend long conference that occurs every July, was hosted by IPHC Discipleship Ministries Division.

SCU, along with Holmes Bible College (S.C.) and Emmanuel College (Ga.), at events such as Talent Quest, Bible Quest and College Night which attracted hundreds of youth along Daytona Beach. Morning and evening services occur throughout the weekend with guest speaker, Reggie Dabbs and worship by All Things New.

Several SCU students, faculty and staff, including newly-elected President Dr. Reggies Wenyika were on hand at the three-day event.

“We had a great presentation of our university and received so many inquiries about SCU.  I was so proud of our admissions team and all the work they did prior to and at Youth Quest.” Brad Davis, Vice-President for Student Life said. “It was great seeing IPHC young people worship God and commit to follow Him.  We were amazed at how much talent is in our denomination from artists, singers, instrumentalists as well as drama and other performing arts.”
