SCU Commencement Will Celebrate the Graduates of 2020 and 2021

Southwestern Christian University will celebrate its 2020 and 2021 graduates with an in-person commencement ceremony, but due to social distancing and limited seating, tickets are required to attend the 2021 Commencement ceremony. Tickets are being distributed to the graduates, with each student receiving six tickets for guests. The Commencement service will also be livestreamed.

The Commencement ceremony will take place on May 1 at 10 a.m. at Victory Church in Warr Acres, Oklahoma. To access the livestream, please visit https://swcu.edu/academics/commencement . This year’s commencement speaker is Dr. Larry Acosta, who is the Founder of Urban Youth Workers Institute (UYWI) and Executive Director of City 2 City, a catalyst to Multiethnic Church Planting in the urban areas. He also is the Co-Founder of KIDWORK.

“Congratulations is in order to our graduating classes,” said SCU President Tom Murray. “You have persevered through unprecedented challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, weathering an incredible amount of changes and uncertainty as a result.  Without question the faculty and administration has been dedicated to your academic and personal success during your time with the university.  We are all very proud of the hard work, dedication, and spirit you have shown during these past few semesters.”
