International Students

Incoming Freshmen

Applicants who are not US residents or have legal alien (green card) status are considered international students.

Required Documentation

A completed Application for admission (completed in English)

English Language Requirements

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of a minimum of 57% of the total score for students from non English speaking countries.

  • TOEFL 61 internet based test
  • TOEFL 500 paper based test

Duolingo English Test (DET) - Score of 123 or better required.

Academic Requirements

  • Official High School transcript (transcripts must be sent through InCred, if not in English)
  • College transcripts must be evaluated by WES or a similar service (at applicant's cost) for credits to transfer and for GPA to apply)

Financial Documentation

A Certificate of Financial Resources Form must be fully completed and submitted. This will be emailed to you when it is needed.

Passport

Submit a copy of your passport identification page.

Additional Documentation (NOT required for admission)

  • ACT composite score of 19 or above
  • SAT score of 900 or better (Critical Reading + Math)
  • Recommendation letters (Graduate School only)
  • Personal essays (Graduate School only)

**ACT/SAT scores may qualify applicants for academic scholarships

**All documents should be submitted to the International Admissions office staff at internationaladmissions@swcu.edu

Once you have been accepted and your I-20 form is ready, it will be sent to you electronically.

Transfer Students

Transfer Process

As an international applicant (non resident alien) to SCU who is currently attending a US college or university, please follow the following procedures:

  • Complete an Application for admission (completed in English).
  • Submit college transcripts.
  • Fully complete and submit a Certificate of Financial Resources Form. This will be emailed to you at the time it is needed.
  • A Transfer Intent Form must be fully completed by the student and current Designated School Official (DSO).

**All documents should be submitted to the International Admissions office staff at internationaladmissions@swcu.edu

Once you have been accepted and your I-20 form is ready, it will be sent to you electronically.
