Spiritual Life

Southwestern Christian University offers its students a quality academic education as well as an opportunity to develop the total person (spiritual, intellectual, communal and physical). The Spiritual Life program allows each student to formulate a plan to meet their spiritual needs. Our goal is to offer and monitor more opportunities for students so that they can engage in discipleship, prayer, worship, and other spiritual disciplines which would enhance their spiritual development.

Spiritual Life is a key factor in the student experience at Southwestern Christian University. Seeking to develop the total person through the fusion of Scholarship, Spirit, and Service, SCU offers more than a quality academic education.

As directed by our institutional mission as "...a Christ-centered liberal arts institution equipping students for a life of learning, leadership, and service; integrating faith, learning, and living; and empowering graduates to excel and to positively impact their world for Jesus Christ," and therefore the purpose of the Office of Spiritual Life is to minister to the campus community, foster faith, equip leaders developed in Christian character, experienced in ministry, equipped by the Word and empowered by the Spirit to advance the Kingdom of God.
