The goal of the SWCU Financial Aid Office is to simplify this process by giving you the tools you need and providing you with the options that may be available from Federal Financial Aid, Institutional Scholarships, and other grants that can assist you in making SWCU your school of choice!

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns throughout the financial aid process, the SWCU Financial Aid Office is available to assist you Monday through Friday, 8:30-4:30. Kellye Johnson: Director of Financial Aid
Kellye Johnson is a Kansas native but currently resides in Oklahoma. She is a graduate of Langston University where she obtained a BA in Sociology. She then earned her MBA with emphasis in Accounting from the University of Phoenix.
Kellye Johnson is currently the Director of Financial Aid for Southwestern Christian University, but has worked at three different institutions in Financial Aid positions. When she’s not processing financial aid, Kellye enjoys reading, writing and a good laugh! She also enjoys playing games and Diner Dash and Cooking Dash are two of her addictions. Kellye loves a good practical joke but don’t surprise her with any deceased gold fish or spiders!
Karla Mauch: Financial Aid Counselor for Adult & Online, Graduate, and International Students
Karla Mauch was raised on a farm in Chandler, Oklahoma and graduated from Chandler High School in 2010. Shortly after graduation, she moved to El Reno, Oklahoma to attend Redlands Community College. While attending Redlands, Karla began her journey working in Financial Aid. Since graduating from Redlands in 2013, she began working at Mid-America Christian University as a Financial Aid Counselor. After working there for two years, she came to join the Southwestern Christian University family. Karla currently resides in Yukon, Oklahoma with her blue-eyed puppy, Grace. During her free time she loves searching Pinterest for new crafty ideas. She also loves spending time with family and friends and enjoys playing pool with her boyfriend of 4 years, Cody.
Yvonne Mayes: Financial Aid Counselor for Traditional Students
Yvonne Mayes has worked at SWCU since March 2013 as the Financial Aid Counselor for traditional students. Prior to coming to SWCU, she worked as a waitress/hourly manager at an Oklahoma City restaurant, provided care for children as a Master Teacher, and worked in the University of Central Oklahoma's Informational Technology Department.
She received her Bachelor of Art’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and is currently working towards her Master's of Education in Adult & Higher Education.
Yvonne Mayes is a native to Oklahoma, currently residing in her hometown of Midwest City. Yvonne and her husband of 4 years currently live in Midwest City with their two sons: Jeremiah and Elijah.
Tammy Finley: Financial Wellness Coordinator
Tammy Finley has worked at SWCU since July 2015 as a
Financial Aid Work Study and serves as the Financial Aid Wellness
Coordinator. She is currently working on
her Bachelors Degree in Business Leadership in the Adult Studies Program at SWCU.
