Scholarship Listing

Fall 2019/Spring 2020

 

Recruitment Scholarships (all limited to budget based on first come, first serve)

Academic – Recruitment scholarship, new students only. Application

Athletic – Recruitment scholarship, new students only - Amount to be determined by coach based on talent evaluation

International Scholarship – Recruitment scholarship, new students only – amount to be determined by scholarship sponsor.

Preview Scholarship – Available to prospective new students only.

Eagle Merit Scholarship – Must be graduate student, subject to specific participation

Eagle Scholar Fund – Must be graduate student, must publish in a peer reviewed journal or book.

IPHC/AWAKENING Heritage Scholarship  - Must be an active member of an IPHC church or The Awakening prior to admission. Only new students may apply. Pastor/Ministry leader recommendation required each semester. Must remain active in church ministry/service to renew. Limited scholarships available.

Music Major Scholarship - Must  be a new student and music major to apply. Must be part of two of the following ensembles each semester: Chapel Band, Choir, Jazz, or Pep Band. Does not stack with individual ensemble scholarships.

 

Incentive  (not automatic, must apply, limited to budget based on first come, first serve, awarded by the scholarship sponsor) 

Student Referral Discount - Application agreement required. One-time discount applied the semester following. Referred student must put name on admissions application when applying to the university.

 

Benefit/Merit Scholarships (not automatic, must apply, limited to budget based on first come, first serve) 

Alumni Kids – Must be child of SCU Graduate – $600 annual. Application

Employee Child or Spouse – Dependent or spouse of employee (per federal guidelines) – 50% tuition first year of employment, 100% tuition thereafter. (Up to 15 hours per semester; must be enrolled full-time to qualify; All other scholarships and grants must be applied first.) Application

Employee – 50% tuition first year of employment, 100% tuition thereafter. (Up to 15 hours per semester; must be enrolled full-time to qualify; All other scholarships and grants must be applied first.) Application

IPHC Fine Arts – Must win IPHC competition - $200 over 8 semesters per conference win, $1000 over 8 semesters per national win. Runner Up $500 for 2nd place, $300 for 3rd place.

Ministerial – Any licensed or ordained minister - $750 annual undergraduate, $1000 annual graduate. 

Minister’s Kids – Child of any licensed or ordained minister - $750 annual. Application

 

Funded Scholarships (all limited to funding provided/earnings per year) 

Bell Music – Must be in One Voice Traveling Music Group - Audition Required - Application

S. Jenell Cross – Must be female - $500 annual. Application

Hamilton – Based on church attendance/participation. Application

Pauline Manning Memorial – Must pursue and degree in ministry or missions. Application

Robin Hough White Memorial – Must be a junior or senior pursuing a missions-related degree. Application

UPS – Recipient determined annually by president. 

 

Activity/Participation Scholarships (Must perform prescribed duties to receive, limited to budget) See Vice President of Student Affairs for more information.

Creative Arts Ensemble Extracurricular – amount to be determined by scholarship sponsor based on talent evaluation - Audition Required -Application

University Service Scholar - Must have social secruity number to apply
