Scholarship Listing

 

 

Recruitment Scholarships (all limited to budget based on first come, first serve)

Academic – Recruitment scholarship, new students only. Must maintain at least a 3.5 GPA.  Application

Athletic – Recruitment scholarship, new students only - Amount to be determined by coach based on talent evaluation.  Must maintain SAP.

International Scholarship – Recruitment scholarship, new students only – amount to be determined by the scholarship sponsor.  Must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.

Preview Scholarship – Available to prospective new students only.

Eagle Merit Scholarship – Must be a graduate student, subject to specific participation

Eagle Scholar Fund – Must be a graduate student and must publish in a peer-reviewed journal or book.

IPHC/AWAKENING Heritage Scholarship  - Must be an active member of an IPHC church or The Awakening prior to admission. Only new students may apply. Pastor/Ministry leader recommendations are required each semester. Must remain active in church ministry/service to renew. Limited scholarships are available.  Must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.  Does not stack with Athletic Scholarships.

Music Major Scholarship - Must be a new student and music major to apply. Must be part of two of the following ensembles each semester: Chapel Band, Choir, Jazz, or Pep Band. Does not stack with individual ensemble scholarships. Must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA. Does not stack with Athletic Scholarships.

 

Incentive  (not automatic, must apply, limited to budget based on first come, first serve, awarded by the scholarship sponsor) 

Student Referral Discount - Discount applied the semester the referred student attends SCU. Referred students must put their names on admissions applications when applying to the university.  The scholarship continues as long as the referred student remains enrolled. 

 

Benefit/Merit Scholarships (not automatic, must apply, limited to budget based on first come, first serve) 

Alumni Kids – Must be a child of an SCU Graduate – $600 annually. Application

Employee Child or Spouse – Dependent or spouse of employee (per federal guidelines) – 50% tuition first year of employment, 100% tuition thereafter. (Up to 15 hours per semester; must be enrolled full-time to qualify; All other scholarships and grants must be applied first.) Application

Employee – 50% tuition first year of employment, 100% tuition thereafter. (Up to 15 hours per semester; must be enrolled full-time to qualify; All other scholarships and grants must be applied first.) Application

IPHC Fine Arts – Must win IPHC competition

Before 2022 - $100 over 8 semesters per conference win. Runner Up $75 for 2nd place, $50 for 3rd place. $1000 over 8 semesters per national win. Runner Up $500 for 2nd place, $300 for 3rd place.

2023 and on - National Fine Arts Festival - Superior Rating $2,000, Excellent Rating $1,000, Good Rating $500 to be paid over 8 semesters per national win.

Ministerial – Any licensed or ordained minister - $750 annual undergraduate, $1000 annual graduate. Application

Minister’s Kids – Child of any licensed or ordained minister - $750 annual. Application

 

Funded Scholarships (all limited to funding provided/earnings per year) 

Bell Music – Must be in One Voice Traveling Music Group - Audition Required - Application

S. Jenell Cross – Must be female - $500 annual. Application

Hamilton – Based on church attendance/participation. Application

Pauline Manning Memorial – Must pursue a degree in ministry or missions. Application

Doris Moore - Women in Ministry Scholarship - Must be a female student preparing for ministry. Application

Lonnie Rex Memorial - Upcoming leaders and humanitarians.  Application

Robin Hough White Memorial – Must be a junior or senior pursuing a missions-related degree. Application

UPS – Recipient determined annually by the president. 

 

Activity/Participation Scholarships (Must perform prescribed duties to receive, limited to budget) See Vice President of Student Affairs for more information.

Creative Arts Ensemble Extracurricular – amount to be determined by scholarship sponsor based on talent evaluation - Audition Required -Application
