Financial Aid Wellness

At SCU, it is a priority for us to make sure that you make it to the goals that you have for yourself including GRADUATION! Unfortunately, sometimes life has other plans for us that can cause us to postpone our plans of greatness. Please be aware that once you stop attending SCU and have been out of school for 6 months, you will begin to owe a payment for any loans that you have taken out. The loan amounts will determine what that monthly payment will be. You do NOT want to get to the point of what is called student loan default. This is where your student loans have not been paid on consistently in alignment with the expectations of your loan agreement.

Please work with your lender to find a payment plan that meets your needs. There are a number of options available. Should you be in a situation where you are contemplating whether or not to continue your education, please contact your Financial Aid Counselor to determine your options or to discuss monies you may owe the school directly.

We know that Financial Aid can be a scary thing, especially when you haven't dealt with it before or just have questions about what it all means. We are here to help you maintain financial wellness while you are a student at SCU and beyond! Reach out to your Financial Aid team with questions.
