How to Apply to Graduate School

Admission to all degree programs of the University requires the submission of the following documents:

 

College Transcripts 

Students must submit official transcripts from their degree granting institution. To accelerate the application process please have electronic copies sent to ntadmissions@swcu.edu.  Transcripts can also be mailed to

To get your application process started, please submit the $50 Application Fee
(if international applicant, a $200 application fee will be required)

The applicant must request the registrar of each college, university and seminary (including junior colleges, institutes and schools you are presently attending) to forward an official transcript of record direct to the Graduate School Office. If the program of study has not yet been completed, another transcript must be filed as soon as possible after the degree has been awarded.

The applicant is required to furnish two references. If possible, include one from a former professor.

Personal Profile & Christian Experience

SCU’s admission policy recommends all students to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This includes a definite salvation experience and Christian lifestyle, including regular church attendance. While SCU is open to students of diverse Christian faiths, university teachings and lifestyle guidelines are in accordance with the doctrine of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. A copy of the IPHC Articles of Faith is available upon request.

Since its inception in 1946, Southwestern Christian University has been an educational institution founded in the holiness, Pentecostal, and charismatic traditions committed to the transformation of students. The university is dedicated to providing a Christ-centered education that will promote the growth of the whole person.
